North Yorkshire

Tucked away in the heart of the stunning North Yorkshire countryside, Raisthorpe Manor spans over 150 acres of deep, rolling valleys and unspoiled landscapes. The estate is widely recognised as one of the premier shooting grounds in the UK, famed for its breathtaking scenery and consistently challenging sport.

Throughout the season, Raisthorpe shows some of the most thrilling and testing birds in the country, attracting experienced Guns from across the world. The variety of drives, combined with the natural topography of the estate, ensures a truly memorable day for all who shoot here.

The estate is proudly owned and operated by the Medforth family, whose passion for shooting and commitment to excellence is evident in every detail. In addition to their driven game days, the family also runs a highly successful simulated clay shoot, offering an outstanding off-season experience that mirrors the excitement and pace of a live shoot.

In recent years, the Medforths added The Nest — a beautifully built lodge situated in the valley, offering panoramic views over some of Raisthorpe’s signature drives. The Nest has quickly become a favourite gathering spot for elevenses or a quick drink before heading out for the next drive, providing a warm and welcoming retreat in the heart of the estate.

With exceptional hospitality, world-class shooting, and an unforgettable setting, Raisthorpe Manor continues to be a must-visit destination for discerning sportsmen and women.
