Yorkshire Dales

Providence Shoot is located near the Village of Greenhow and has recently developed into an outstanding sporting estate, offering driven shooting days throughout the season. The estate’s dramatic gills and valleys create an ideal environment for game, providing a variety of challenging and exciting drives that test all levels of shooter.

The ground features a mix of open valleys, wooded sections, and natural ridges, giving each drive a unique character and keeping the sport varied and engaging. The estate’s well-managed terrain ensures a high standard of game and smooth running of the days, while the rolling Yorkshire Dales backdrop makes it a visually stunning and memorable experience.

Whether for seasoned guns or those seeking a first-class sporting day, Providence Shoot offers both the thrill of the chase and the charm of a traditional English country shoot.

Along with good low ground shoot the etsate also has a productive grouse moor.

Greenhow is a small village in the Yorkshire Dales. By car, it’s easiest via Pateley Bridge from Leeds, Harrogate, or Skipton, though the final roads are narrow and steep. There’s no direct public transport; the nearest train stations are Harrogate, Ripon, or Skipton, with a taxi or bus needed to reach the village.

Partride and Pheasant

1st september - 1st February

Teams usually meet at either a local pub or at the bothy, where they enjoy a coffee, draw their pegs, and set off for the day. Days typically consist of four or five drives, with the option to stop for lunch earlier in the season if preferred.
