Gloucestershire

Overbury is located in the Vale of Evesham on the western edge of the Cotswolds, just 10 miles north of Cheltenham and about 5 miles from Junction 9 of the M5. The estate has been family-owned for over 300 years and offers a picturesque setting that showcases some of the finest driven game shooting in the west of England. The Overbury team provides a relaxed, welcoming environment, creating unforgettable shoot days tailored to each individual team.

Catering for teams of 8 to 10 guns, Overbury offers a variety of shooting opportunities. The lowland Vale delivers exciting, traditional early-season partridge days with the thrill of fast-paced snap shooting. Meanwhile, the high ground of Bredon Hill, rising to 1,000 feet, provides the perfect topography for sporting, high pheasants that will test even the most seasoned guns.

Head Keeper Paul Gillett and Under Keeper Tom Whitehouse bring over 40 years of combined experience on the estate. Their approach is centred on delivering top-quality shooting alongside a strong conservation ethos, working in harmony with the estate’s sustainable farming practices. Overbury’s in-house rearing program, including the “Kansas Thunder” strain of pheasants, ensures consistently strong birds, even in challenging weather conditions.

Shoot days are run from the fully accessible Dynamo House Shoot Lodge, where guests are warmly welcomed by the Overbury host and can be matched with experienced estate loaders or professional shooting coaches if required. A typical day includes three morning drives with elevenses served in the field, followed by lunch back at the Dynamo House, and one final drive to finish the day.

Overbury welcomes enquiries from teams looking for bags starting at 100 birds, with the flexibility to accommodate larger days. Where specified upon booking, the option to shoot through can also be discussed, depending on the preferred bag size and day format.
