Somerset

The Lillycombe Estate is situated between Lynmouth and Porlock, straddling the A39, and extends to approximately 1,000 acres in a single block, with additional cover crops on neighbouring land.

Following a change of ownership in February 2017, the estate has entered an exciting new chapter. Its previous owners established an outstanding sporting shoot over nearly 30 years, building a strong reputation for quality partridge and pheasant days. Since acquiring the estate, Rupert Martin has invested significantly in both the facilities and the shoot. Under the experienced management of Ian Baldock, the team has further enhanced and refined the drives to create an exceptional sporting experience.

The estate offers early September partridge days, followed by mixed-bag days from mid-October, with bags ranging from 300 to 500 birds. Smaller, more intimate days are also available throughout January.

Experienced loaders are highly recommended and can be arranged in advance, provided sufficient notice is given before the shoot day.

During the 1920s, the estate was nationally renowned for its exceptional grouse and blackcock shooting, although these species are sadly no longer found here.
