The estate extends across a beautiful mix of wooded valleys, steep banks and open moorland, creating ideal conditions for presenting high, challenging pheasants and partridges.

The shoot has earned an excellent reputation for the quality of its sport, with birds using the natural contours of the landscape to produce fast, testing drives that appeal to experienced Guns. Farndale is located within the North York Moors National Park, approximately 20 minutes from Helmsley. From the A170, follow signs towards Castleton before turning into Farndale, with the estate located at Church Houses.

A TYPICAL DAY

Teams are typically collected from their accommodation before meeting the loaders en route to the estate. The day usually consists of four to five drives, with freshly prepared game cooked and served in the field. Teams can choose to pause for a leisurely lunch or shoot through, depending on their preference and the day's schedule.
