Wiltshire, England

The Ashcombe estate belongs to Guy Ritchie and there is certainly a star quality about the shooting on the 1,100 acres of chalk downland to the west of Salisbury. Ashcombe’s unspoilt chalk valleys with steep contours present high, testing partridges and pheasants as part of an outstanding, well-managed shoot.

A series of narrow valleys create perfect shooting terrain and the drive Win Green offers you the chance to seriously lighten your cartridge bag without adding too many birds to the game cart. Win Green Hill is 911 feet above sea level so it will require a certain flexibility in the neck department. The stunning Georgian house lies in middle of the shoot and the orangery is set aside for lunches. Days at Ashcombe are available exclusively through Darbishire Agency, shooting begins in late September.

Win Green is a beautiful hilltop in the middle of the estate and the highest point in Cranborne Chase.

Ashcombe is a shooting day like no other, the owners have created a very unique experience. The shoot days are run in the traditional manner with a stop for elevenses and lunch with typically 4 drives. But the overall feel of the day and wow factor is unparalleled anywhere.
