The Slaughters Manor House
Situated in one of England’s prettiest villages, The Slaughters Manor House is a beautiful 17th Century manor house which combines contemporary interiors with country charm, attentive service and one of the most acclaimed restaurants in the Cotswolds.
Each one of the hotel’s 19 guestrooms is individual in style, with many featuring views over the front lawns and the beautiful village of Lower Slaughter beyond. Plump pillows, spacious beds, and elegant bathrooms throughout make for the ultimate in comfort and relaxation.
The Coach House is made up of feature guestrooms and lavish suites where guests can indulge and unwind with freestanding roll-top baths and secluded gardens for privacy away from the main house.
The restaurant at The Slaughters Manor House is proud to be awarded 2 Rosettes by the AA Restaurant Guide, and is one of the most acclaimed in the Cotswolds. Celebrating the finest regional and seasonal produce from land and sea, the team of skilled chefs create tantalising menus that are English at their core and stay true to location, perfectly matched by the sommelier’s wine selections.
Afternoon tea at The Slaughters Manor House is also an occasion in itself, whether enjoyed in front of a roaring log fire in the winter or al fresco on the lawns in the summer. Indulge with a traditional full afternoon tea, or experience our gentlemans’ afternoon tea; featuring cold meats, fine English cheeses and Cotswolds ale.
The lovely team can create tailored experiences for guests while they’re on-site -whether it’s a whisky tasting after a day out shooting, or a 10-course tasting menu with expertly paired wines. If guests are bringing partners along, they can also offer wellness experiences, such as yoga, gua sha workshops, or even floristry and pottery classes - ideal for a relaxing countryside retreat.
The Slaughters Manor House is nestled within five acres of glorious landscaped gardens boasting fine specimen trees and magnificent Redwoods and Horse Chestnuts set to the front of the house. Ornamental beds flank the front steps and the drive is partially edged with Hidcote Lavender. The front lawn lies surrounded by a set of ornamental rose beds, complete with a small water fountain, and is laid for croquet. The kitchen garden is set to the back alongside the Dovecote and a hard tennis court can also be found at the rear of the property with views over the Cotswold fields.
