The Slaughters Country Inn
Set in the heart of one of the most picturesque Cotswold villages, The Slaughters Country Inn offers the authentic charm of a traditional village inn; exceptional food made with the best local produce, a fine selection of local ales, roaring log fires to warm the winter months and a stunning terrace for when the sun shines. The Slaughters Country Inn is the perfect location for a country break where wellies, walks and unwinding are the order of the day.
The friendly and relaxed bar welcomes guests with sofas, rustic touches and shelves lined with books and board games. In contrast the vibrant restaurant boasts clean lines, a muted palette and a light, bright atmosphere in which to browse the contemporary inn menu. The Inn’s 25 guestrooms and six charming cottages are all designed to reflect the property’s unique character, blending the traditional features of the oldest part of the house with contemporary design elements. Ancient wooden beams, roll top baths and views of the village and grounds in the guestrooms combine to create a well appointed countryside escape with all the vibrancy of a traditional country inn. Naturally all come with crisp white linen, plumped up pillows and sumptuous beds to guarantee that perfect night’s slumber.
The Slaughters Country Inn offers delicious food, simply prepared, using the finest Cotswold produce. The menu is complemented by a wide selection of local ales, showcasing the best the region has to offer. Alongside superb dishes that change with the seasons, guests can expect to see a selection of country inn classics including beer battered fish and chips, steamed Fowey mussels and sausages with creamed mash and crispy shallots. In the summer months, a stylish outdoor food cart, ‘The Field Kitchen’, offers flatbreads, bagels, ice-cream and drinks to enjoy in the inn’s beautiful gardens.
