Oxfordshire

Well Barn Estate offers some of the best shooting land in Southern England, from which high-quality shooting is produced from mid-October until late into January.

New to the 2019 – 2020 season Darbishire Sporting Agents have been asked to represent the estate and let a handful of exclusive days, that previously have been all kept in hand by the family. If you like to be challenged with high birds, then this highly renowned game shoot is the day for you.

The format of the day is to meet at the shoot lodge in the heart of the estate- one of the finest purpose-built shoot lodges in the UK for coffee and briefing. We will shoot two drives, elevenses break in the field or at the old shoot lodge if its wet, a further drive before lunch and then back out in the afternoon. The estate has been beautifully laid out to make the best of the deep wide Chiltern Valleys, high game crops and ancient woods create world class driven shooting that will test the very best.

Along with fantastic shooting there is an amazing atmosphere at Well Barn, a less commercial feel than a lot of shoots but without losing the wonderful hospitality and enjoyable après shoot.

We are thrilled to have this estate on our portfolio – days from 250 are available throughout October until late January.

In 1000 AD Streatley was on the border between Wessex and Mercia when Ethelred the Unready was the Anglo-Saxon King of England.

Heading north from Reading along the A417 the estate lies only few miles from Goring.
