In 1850, Count Augusto Giorgi di Vistarino was the first to plant Pinot Noir in Oltrepò, importing the vines directly from France.
From Milan take A7 south, exit Castelnuovo Scrivia, follow SP12 to Rocca de' Giorgi, Villa Fornace (approximately 1.5 hours).
The Italian pheasant hunting season runs from September 1 to January 31, with regional variations.
