From London to Mayshiel Lodge, drive approximately 6-7 hours via the A1. Alternatively, take a train to Edinburgh, then continue by taxi or bus to the lodge. Or fly into Edinburgh and transfer from there via car or helicopter.
A typical day of grouse shooting begins early, with participants gathering for a briefing and heading out onto the moors. After a two drives we break for elevenses, followed by a third and then lunch is enjoyed, often in a remote spot, with warm food and drinks. The afternoon continues with more driven shooting until the day ends.
