Bransdale Moor is located on the southern side of the North York Moors, a short distance from the popular shooting town of Hemsley.
Bransdale Moor is very well recognised amongst the grouse shooting fraternity and regularly described as the premier driven grouse Moor in the North York Moors National Park. Bransdale has been completely rejuvenated over recent years and is now regarded as one of the Country’s most productive Grouse Moors. In 2017 Bransdale Moor was honoured to receive a highly commended Purdey award in recognition of its “outstanding achievement and ability to produce well-managed grouse in large numbers to the highest standard”.
Bransdale Moor is one of the largest Grouse Moors in the UK, covering approximately 16,000 acres and as a result, can offer shooting throughout the week over a variety of terrain. The Estate’s beautiful landscape offers some fantastically challenging grouse shooting which can be experienced from one of the many traditional lines of butts seamlessly sunken into the Moor.
The hospitality at Bransdale Moor is impeccable with an impressive elevenses being served in the field each day, with lunch taken either during or after shooting in the unique transportable moorland lunch hut.
The moor is huge and lies north of the town of Helmsley. Guns meet on different location across the moor depending on conditions and the beat that will be shot.
